Enjoyment, tradition and nature - that's the Lusatian Fish Weeks!
From 20 September to 2 November 2025, everything in Upper Lusatia will once again revolve around local fish species, sustainable pond farming and the beauty of our unique cultural landscape. Families, connoisseurs and nature lovers are invited to discover the diversity of regional fish culture, attend farm festivals and taste freshly caught fish straight from the ponds.
The Lusatian Fish Weeks celebrate regional delights - and you can win great prizes!
Here's what you can win:
A restaurant voucher for the Bio-Berggasthof Beckenbergbaude Eibau (via the Facebook channel Oberlausitz.com)
A family ticket for the House of a Thousand Ponds (via the Facebook channel Oberlausitz.com)
Another family ticket for the House of a Thousand Ponds (via the Instagram channel oberlausitzcom)
A restaurant voucher for the Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik (via the Instagram channel oberlausitzcom)
How you can take part:

The 4 winners will be drawn at random. There will be a separate draw for each of the 4 main prizes.
The competition will run from September 10 to November 2, 2025, after which a draw will be held.
Please note: Only one prize per person is possible - but you are welcome to participate on both channels (Facebook and Instagram).
What are the Lusatian Fish Weeks?
Carp pond farming has characterized the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape for 800 years. Every year in the fall, the ponds are fished. Guests can then look forward to numerous events with pond festivals, nature tours and regional fish - also in the restaurants.
From 20.09. to 02.11.2025 we cordially invite you to the 24th Lusatian Fish Weeks!
- The period of the competition is 10.09.2025 8:00 am to 02.11.2025 11:59 pm.
- The organizer of this competition is the Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien mbH in cooperation with the respective partner (the Sorbian restaurant "Wjelbik" in Bautzen, the Bio-Berggasthof Beckenbergbaude in Eibau, the Haus der Tausend Teiche in Malschwitz).
- There are 4 main prizes within the competition: 1x restaurant voucher for the organic mountain inn Beckenbergbaude Eibau (via Facebook), 2x family ticket for the House of a Thousand Ponds (1x via Facebook and 1x via Instagram), 1x restaurant voucher for the Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik (via Instagram).
- All persons aged 18 and over are eligible to participate.
- Employees of Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien are excluded from participating in the competition.
- As soon as the conditions for the competition have been fulfilled, the persons are automatically in the lottery pot and agree to the terms and conditions. The conditions are as follows: Follow the Oberlausitz channel and the respective partner channel; Like the competition post; Write in the comments what you like to eat or buy in the region - especially around our delicious regional fish.
- Participation is permitted per person on both channels.
- Only one prize per person is possible.
- The winner will be selected at random by Marketing-Gesellschaf Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien mbH at the end of the competition period and notified by us via direct message.
- If the winner does not respond to our message within 7 days, a new winner will be drawn at random.
- Entries that violate the Facebook or Instagram guidelines, German law, copyright or our netiquette will be deleted by us and the authors excluded from participation.
- Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien is not responsible for contributions published by participants as part of the competition.
- We reserve the right to change, adapt, suspend or prematurely terminate the competition due to special circumstances.
- Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz will use the personal data received from the winner (name and address) exclusively for the delivery of the prize.
The data will not be passed on to third parties and will not be used for advertising purposes. - Legal recourse is excluded.
- Cash payment of the prize is excluded.
