Stage 1 Silent treasures and living traditions
Kamenz - Bautzen - Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape!
On this stage, you will experience the cultural roots of Upper Lusatia: Lessing's birthplace Kamenz, the St. Marienstern monastery and the historic tower city of Bautzen. For nature lovers, the route continues into the UNESCO Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve - a unique natural paradise with rare animals, vast ponds and exciting adventure trails.

Görlitz - Weißwasser - Bad Muskau!
Görlitz inspires as a European film set, Bad Muskau with the UNESCO World Heritage Site Muskauer Park/Park Mużakowski. Whether on foot, by bike or on the nostalgic forest railroad - this is where history meets scenic enjoyment.

Your advantages on the road
In Upper Lusatia, you will find three augmented reality stations that bring the past to life. The respective display boards provide information about the history of the place or the tradition and each contains a QR code. As soon as this is scanned with a smartphone, you experience a journey into another world.
The stations are located at Lake Olba, in Schleife and in the Nochten boulder park.
