Declaration on accessibility

Marketing-Gesellschaft Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien mbH endeavors to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Saxon Inclusion Act (SächsInklusG) and the Barrier-free Websites Act (BfWebG) in conjunction with the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0). The BfWebG is supplemented by the Barrier-free Websites Ordinance (BfWebVO). These laws are drafted in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

This accessibility statement applies to the following websites with corresponding subpages
- www.oberlausitz.com
- oberlausitz.business
- www.gaestekarte-oberlausitz.com

Accessibility status

Accessibility is based on the internationally valid Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at conformity level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, version 3.2.1. For PDF documents, the international standard PDF/UA-1 is also observed.

These websites are only partially accessible according to the above-mentioned guidelines.

Non-accessible content
- Current position of the focus not always clear
The keyboard focus for buttons, links and form fields is not always clear enough in some places (search, forms).
- Incorrectly filled-in fields cannot be determined programmatically
Incorrectly filled-in fields in forms are only highlighted via a text hint.
- Status messages not programmatically available
A success message is displayed after feedback has been sent. However, this message is not available for assistive technologies. Users are therefore not made aware of them without having to change their current focus or point of view.
- Downloadable PDF documents
The Shop application offers PDF documents for download, among other things. These PDF documents do not all comply with the PDF/UA standard for accessible documents.
- Videos
Videos without subtitles are integrated throughout the website.

The elimination and reduction of these known deficiencies is planned by the end of 2026.

Lack of accessibility due to disproportionate burden
For the following content, there is currently a disproportionate burden in accordance with Section 2 (3) BfWebG in conjunction with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, Article 5 and Recital 39:
- Sign language
The website does not currently offer the option of accessing content in German sign language.
- Easy-to-read language
The website offers some information in easy-to-read language. Detailed information on the website is currently not available.

Non-accessible content outside the legal provisions
The following content is currently not accessible, although it is exempt from the obligation under Section 1 (2) sentence 1 BfWebG in conjunction with Article 1 (4) of EU Directive 2016/2102:
- Online maps and map services
All map applications are based on the integration of data from the external provider outdooractive.com.
- Third-party content
Selected content pages integrate data from external providers. This concerns, for example, routes, POIs and event data from outdooractive, social media posts on the social wall of Facebook and Instagram, booking data on buchen.oberlausitz.com.
Third-party content is beyond our control, not developed by us.
Accessibility beyond legal requirements
We intend to improve accessibility beyond legal requirements. We have therefore implemented the following additional content/functions:
- High contrast mode
The website takes into account a high contrast to improve readability and thus follows the recommendations of WCAG 2.1.
- Enlargement
The website takes into account the recommendations of WCAG 2.1. The current programming takes into account that the browser's enlarge/reduce functions are not restricted.

Creation of the declaration

This declaration was last updated on 10.06.2025.
