In the towns, stories, architecture, art, music, monuments and culinary delights merge with events, theater and film sets. Together with the towns full of character, which are often characterized by traditional architecture, the region presents itself authentically. Castles, parks and gardens dot Upper Lusatia and the border triangle, as do churches, monasteries and chapels. Three UNESCO World Heritage titles radiate internationally. Historic industrial sites are a reminder of times gone by. Centuries-old (Sorbian) customs and traditions are preserved and celebrated.
