The unique combination of log cabin and half-timbered construction makes them one of the most important folk building styles in Europe. This landscape characterized by wooden houses is unique. No two houses are alike and the natural building materials of wood, clay, straw and stone in particular give the house an individual appearance and an optimal living climate. The ornamentation on the houses is still visible today.
